I installed NWN Gold on my machine which is now Windows 10. The Gold version I have had for years and recently wanted to play it again. I have to run as admin to get it to work. I copied NWmain.exe to NWgame.exe to avoid a C++ abort. I can create a character and start the game. The issue is only the character's shadow appears. A NPCs are likewise invisible. I started the SOU and the same thing happened. It is hard to fight when everything is invisible. Any ideas of how to fix?

This thread held the solution within. For me the solution was going to Options/Video/Advanced Options/ and deselecting "enviromental mapping on creatures" then allowed all characters to show up again.

What is occuring is AMD put a fix long ago because NWN is custom engine and had reflection and transparncy colors backwards.

So the fix allowed it at the time which was patch 1.67 nwn I think for AMD cards to run game perfectly fine.

Along comes updated patches that fixes the swapped reflection/transparency issue and boom now the AMD fix is backwords..

Good luck getting AMD to remove their fix from the driver
Other solution would be edited nwn executable just for AMD but ... ya anyone playing this game uses Nvidia.

The English support for AMD can't do anything honestly since AMD entire company pretty much does not speak English only the English branch... which doesn't forward stuff to AMD typically.
