First time playing the game, checked the build guides, and found an interesting one to try, a badbard

Now, it states the path is
1 bard - evil, nonlawful. Natural Leader Background
Take Luck of Heroes and Power Attack feats.
2 fighter - Cleave feat. Gains wpn/armor feats free
3 bard - wpn focus: whatever


Now, I create the character, and I get to pick Natural Leader.... but there's NO choice on picking Luck of Heroes. Or Power Attack. The tutorial starts, and I win 2 contests and investigate a pig... and I get to level again.

I choose Bard, and I get a bunch of options: no luck of heroes. no power attack
I try fighter instead, and get less options, but again: no luck of heroes. no power attack

What am I missing here? How and when can you choose Luck of Heroes and Power Attack? Can't find anything on the site, and the manual just says it's a 'background trait feat" but nothing on when you get to choose it. And 'tutorial' doesn't appear anywhere in the manual.

Thanks much! I hit 'customize', and thought "well, it's same abilities as before, so that didn't work", but filled them out anyway, and lo and behold: on the next page I was given on the chances to set the things I wanted.
