Once I start playing any part of NWNDE I cannot use the space bar to pause the game nor does the ALT or Shift Keys work and the Tab key either to highlight items. Have uninstalled and re installed LOTS and they just won't work. Not good when facing a tough battle and I can't pause! Any advice and is anyone else having this problem?

I've never seen this problem before, but just to eliminate some things, do you have another keyboard to test with? Even if those keys work in other programs, they might have some problem with the signal that is causing problems with NWN recognizing them.

If that fails, you might want to check the key configuration in the settings, it could be that for whatever reason, the keys are unmapped(and keep unmapping each time you re-install).

I have tried 3 different keyboards and the same thing with all of them.
I got into the Game Controls and it is definitely marked that TAB = Show Items and SPACE BAR = Pause.......I feel it is something to do with the updates effecting the keys because when I play the game without any updates of patches all keys function as they should. I am just disappointed about this Diamond Edition as I looked forward to playing the extra modules.

It sounds like an issue with your computer. I play an install patched to 1.69 and I have no problems with the keyboard.

I have never heard of this problem before... and I am at a loss what to suggest beyond the things emusan did.

If I were you I would post in http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/category/187/index because it is so unusual. Sorry I cannot suggest anything further.

I just installed NWN Diamond and I'm running into keyboard problems within the game as well.

Everything works fine until the actual game begins at which point none of the keyboard commands work except for clicking on the Chat window, in which case I can type a chat message normally....

[three hours later]

D'oh! Problem again was this OSDMain.exe file attached to this fancy keyboard. Disabling and reenabling it made the keyboard function... noted previously in my keyboard problems with Gothic and another poster's problems with Nox. Sorry, carry on carry on.
