Have just brought the complete game (again!) from Gog and attempted to download it/play it/run it.
Downloading went very slowly but seemed to be OK, even though it took most of the day and completely tied up my PC so I couldn't do anything else with it,
Then it attempted to install, but after another indefinite wait, then announced 'Installation Failed'. Since then the game has been sitting in my Gog Game menu marked as 'Queued' although not quite sure why as I can't do anything with it and nothing else seems to be running or downloading.

Any ideas what to do? To say I am really ticked off would be something of an understatement! And this is the 2nd time I have purchased the game!

GOG download servers are fast. Very, very fast. Since it was going very slowly, I assume you were using GOG Galaxy.

Put Galaxy away for now. It works for some people great, for others, it seems to be a terrible pain. Instead, use the GOG Downloader. Then go to the NWN2 game in your account, click on it, click MORE, click GOG Downloader Links.

When it finishes downloading (should be a few minutes), then click the magnifying glass to find your files. Use the .exe to install.

Be sure to install in a non-protected space (no /My Docs, no /Program Files, no /Windows)

P.S. Sorry that spoiled your weekend! That sucks. I hope you had something fun to play.
