Iknow that you have to put the correct regalia into the chest to open the door but in both the graveyard and the docks i open the chest pick up th artefact from the itinary and place it into the box but it never leaves the itinary it will not drop into the box. I know i must be a little dense but i am obviously doing something wrong please help

thanks but i have found the places where the artifacts are but I cannot get into the tomb as the artifact returns to my inventory and does not go into the chest either its a bug or i am doing something wrong

You do actually have the quest from Oleff? From my memory unless you get the quest from him first, you can't get into some of the artifact locations.

It has been a few years since I last played the OC.

yes i got the quest and the letter from oleff which i gave to the foreman at the building site.

Are you sure you have the right items? Ceremonial Sword for the one that says Tooth, and Ritual Shield for the one that says Wall.

Can you take a screenshot and link it?

Thanks for the replys Yes I have got the right items in the screenshots the first shows the sword over the box that says tooth and the screen shot 0001 show the sword still in my inventory even though I have clicked on the mouse to place it in the box unfortunately gog will not allow me to download the screen shots as they are too big

finally worked out a way to reduce the screenshot size so that it can be transmitted you'll probably find it easier to see if you use paint

Thanks to everybody for their help I have worked out what i was doing wrong instead of trying to put the sword in the box on the ground you place it in the area which shows the symbol of the box and problem solved. I said I was doing something wrong what a stupid mistake

don't worry about it, just called learning, you can't expect to know everything the first time you play the game. Just wait till you play games that really don't give you a clue on what to do lol. Glad you got it sorted out.

Am I the only one who sees the screenshots very small?

You're not missing anything, Engerek. It's just his toon standing in front of a chest.

He said GoG prohibited loading the fullsize images. Probably easier/faster to just provide links to a screenie loaded onto Photobucket or one of the other storage sites. Those can have any resolution needed.
