While the MMO vibe of the NWN series may be true to an extent, that's a bit deceptive. The NWN series predates World of Warcraft by several years, so in many ways the first Neverwinter Nights game was pioneering this style of interface. Also, there are many fan-run persistent worlds which are effectively miniature-MMO's. Neverwinter Nights is very unique in that respect; it straddles the boundaries of what constitutes a MMO without actually diving right in.

Overall, Mask of the Betrayer would be the best. My only problem with it is that it's a very easy campaign, but in terms of plot and design it's definitely the best on the list.
Storm of Zehir has a great free-world exploration mechanic. It has poor replayability compared to the other campaigns, focusing on having lots of very small but beautifully designed areas to explore.
The original campaign... I have mixed feelings about it. It's a bit formulaic near the beginning but it has excellent execution. Then the floor falls out and it becomes pretty obnoxious, stringing together unrelated plot-points with bad writing and forced sequences. Then all of a suddenly with no warning it becomes
fricken awesome and you feel like you're playing one of the greatest RPG's ever made. Then it loses momentum and becomes merely good... and then it completely drops the ball and delivers one of the most unsatisfying endings you will ever encounter (it's about as bad as the infamous Mass Effect 3 ending. Arguably worse). Basically it's a rollar coaster. The good parts are downright epic, but get ready to trudge through some truly obnoxious filth in between.
There are some
awesome fan-made modules as well, some of which rank amongst the best RPG's I've ever played. Definitely worth checking some of those out if you've still got an itch after finishing the official material.
