Just wondering if GoG's universal update patch (2.0.1 -> 2.1.0) is necessary or useful for Neverwinter Nights 2?

I know GoG sometimes chooses bad patches to go with their games that just make the game worse. So I'd really prefer not to break a game with a bad patch after spending a whole afternoon downloading it. What does the patch do exactly?

If I do decide to install the universal patch, I assume I would just use GoG's installer? And the installer would apply the patch correctly? I already downloaded the patch from GoG I just haven't installed it yet.

It removes the DRM from the Myteries of Westgate expansion. You need it, unless you like DRM.

If you just downloaded NWN2 today, then you don't need the universal update patch. You have version 2.1.0.
The patch is for people who downloaded version 2.0.1 & want to update to version 2.1.0 without another full download.
