No matter what I do the sound usually skips when I play cutscenes in Neverwinter Nights Diamond. I'm running Windows 7 and upgraded all my sound card drivers as best I can tell. I wrote to GOG and they're trying to help me, but it is slow.

Any ideas?

It's a common problem, even though users usually report cutscenes with working sound and not-working video.

You could try this way: open "nwn.ini" in your main NWN folder, locate "SafeMovie=0" and change it to "SafeMovie=1".

Aside from this, if you have a multicore processor you could try changing the game's affinity. Open "nwnplayer.ini" and set "Client CPU Affinity" to -2 (otherwise or in addition to this, you can change the game's affinity via Windows Task Manager)..
Congratulations! You solved my problem! (i.e. client CPU affinity)
