Just installed the patch and now I've got a black border around my screen,everything is the same 1920 x 1080 but the patch has done something...

Can anybody help or even just explain wth is going on..

Go into options and set "vignette" to off.

Same thing happened to me, idk why it changes when you patch.

Sorry but what & where is vignette,I cannot see it in my options.

Game launcher -> options -> show advanced options

it's in the launcher, select video settings

In the Options for the launcher, check "Show Advanced Options". One of the options about half-way is vignette, turn it to disabled. I don't know if this is actually what is your problem though, since it should have been on before anyways.

That's what vignette does. It's just a black border around the edge of the screen. Artistic design, if you will.

Yes disabling it removes the black border but now I'm wondering what it is & what else will change because of turning it off.

Its an effect that darkens the corners of the screen, nothing else I think

Nothing. That's all vignette is.
