Hi,

I was playing witcher 2 today, then I died and when trying to reload my last save, the game was stuck forever.

I could alt tab, but it was stuck, so I just alt tab delete to close out of the witcher 2.

Afterwards, when I click on the launcher, it won't let me boot up, it would say launcher has stopped working and gives me the option of closing the program or finding a solution (which does nothing)

So I uninstalled the game and just reinstalled, when asking for my activation code, and once that's done, right away same message. It'll ask for me to close out of program or look for solution...

Help PLEASE..

Can anyone help please...

this is aggravating beyond belief. I do not know what to do. I am not that savvy with computers. I went into my program files and tried launching from there, uninstall/reinstalled.

I really do not know what to do.

The launcher thing is a problem that popped up randomly and probably has something to do with the launcher connecting to the internet (which it does to check for updates and that kind of thing). For now, disconnecting from the internet seems to solve the problem for non-Steam versions, though if you can't disconnect for whatever reason you should be able to run from the witcher2.exe in the /bin folder of the game's installation without any problems.

Yup, it seems the problem is with the witcher 2 server, you could also blocked the launcher executable from your firewall (temporarily until their server is back up) and it will run fine. They should fix this though.

Thank you for the help.

I can't believe the whole time it was just a server issue. I kept getting the windows program won't start message, force close program message..

If it was a server issue, I would think I'd get a message regarding that from the game.

I unplugged my internet and it worked.

Unbelievable, such a stupid problem and the whole time it had nothing to do with my PC and I uninstalled / reinstalled which took alot of time.

thanks alot though!
