Seeing as CDPR still dont have their forums up (inexcusable imho) I have to post here. Does anyone know how to re=install the game to ver 1.0. I have the retail DVD version and it auto pacthes to 1.1.

The pop in bug is really annoying me and I want to revert to 1.0 as it wasnt an issue then.

any help would be appreciated.
At what point does it auto patch to 1.1?
"I have the retail DVD version and it auto pacthes to 1.0. "

Fixed.

Answer: just reinstall the game.
and for those who have the gog version?

I guess my original question still stands. At what point in the installation does it auto patch to 1.1? ie: Why would re-installing NOT bring you back to 1.0?

when it activates it auto downloads the unlock file/patch

Try making the Launcher read only, and maybe the patch will fail (since I believe the Launcher was also updated in patch 1.1). Then, once it fails, you can reverse the read only and go on your merry way.

The Launcher.exe is just a suggestion. It might take some fiddling to figure out a way to keep the patch from succeeding, and I'm just throwing out this idea as I assume the patcher must attempt to overwrite some files (so you'd experiment with what files to try making read only).

Anyways, to the other poster who was using the GoG version, since it doesn't need to Activate, he shouldn't have a problem.

Good luck!

i reinstalled it and i got a patch just after the installation.

Was it the day-0 patch or the 1.1 patch?

In the launcher i see : "video and languages" and not "options". maybe it means it's the 1.0 version?

This wouldn't work since you need the day0 patch to start the game, but the installer instead installs directly the 1.1 patch.

And the retail version didn't come with the zero day patch on disc I'm guessing (GoG did for instance). In that case, you're screwed I guess.

Looks like you're back to 1.0!

On the official Witcher 2 site it states that the game automatically patches to 1.1 during installation, which it has done for me also. So, i doubt you are on patch 1.0. I wish they would make patch 1.0 available separately.

The GoG version, at no time, since it was already DRM free, has to activate or connect to the internet. He's most definitely back to 1.0 if his Launcher reverted to Video and Languages instead of Options.

I realize you may be grouchy, but please do not spread misinformation out of spite.

ok i'm pretty sure it's 1.0 because i can't invert mouse anymore (same menu option as before).

I think it's because my installer iis old (i download the installer the 17) so it contains the day-0 patch.

and I shut down my internet connection before installing and the result is the same : a patch is installing but it is the day-0 since in game i can't invert mouse, etc..

Can anyone post the 0-day patch somewhere? If its included in the GOG is it able to be made available to those of us who cant roll back?
