Hello,

I read on this forum and in-game that I'm supposed to complete a quest to remake a silver sword. That was my first guess too when I saw it get stuck in the dragon's mouth.

However the quest auto-completed and I still have my (imported) silver sword.

Did I miss something or is it a known bug?

I remember laughing at how the dragon flies off with your silver sword and yet you still have it a few seconds later as you walk on with the King. ;p

I wonder if it's a bug for imported games? I could see how it might be (assuming it only affects imports) as it might only be checking for a specific item.

I know I always assumed the silver witcher's sword design was for non-import games since it's pretty inferior to my imported weapon.

Makes sense. Can you imagine how pissed off people would be if, after importing your swords from the first with the promise to use them in the second game, you lost one of them five minutes in?

It'd be a baaaaaad scene, man.

Thanks for the confirmation. As I'm still on my first playthrough I wasn't sure if it was import-related.

Damn if you do, damn if you don't I suppose, it's just a bit weird seeing Geralt pick up the sword after the dragon fly away.

Now that it's settled, back to the awesomeness of chapter 1. :)

Yeah I saw that the dragon flew off with it and I was suprised that I still had the sword, though tbh the jarring "why do I still have my sword" thought was replaced with "I still have my sword :D" so it was ok.
