I was just wondering if there will be any plan to improve the save system? As of now, it is quite horrible as it creates new save everytime and you cant even save over the previous saves and/or delete save within the game itself. Some other games can already do this so I'm just amazed that the save system in The Witcher 2 feels very dated.

I understand that there is already a tool to do this, but it will be nice if it can be done in-game. After playing for several hours and quick saving (and saving), my save folder grows to 2GB very quickly, its pretty ridiculous.

Other than that, awesome game!
Would be nice to delete from in game. I agree.

Major oversight IMO. Never had a game save so large that it is almost the size of a fully-installed game. Hope the devs look into it.
I checked my save folder and it's 2.7 GB!!! :O

I save regularly as you should in these types of games but the lack of an overwrite save and delete options is just plain silly really. That and the lack of in-game graphics options, which makes experimenting with them a pain, are surprising oversights really, particularly when Witcher Enhanced Edition had them as well as fullscreen 16:10 support.

Why the backward step?
Yeah, it's pretty annoying - kind of weird that a game developed with the PC in mind has absolutely no way to manage saves in-game.. a pretty big oversight IMO.

But like you said, this utility works fine.

The Witcher 1 had the same problems, they finally updated it to make Autosaves overwrite one another but not quicksaves... now Witcher 2 has the opposite problem
Glad that you guys agree, everywhere else people seem to be fine with this for some reason, so I was just wondering if its just me but this irked me so much.

The graphical options not being in game is also a weird decision. Even in-game UI is not really that helpful like if you are looting items (like weapons or armors), there's no way you can see the stats of the item until you put it in your inventory. There's no dropbox where you can store items, and when you want to buy new items from shops, there's no comparison to gear that you are currently wearing so it is really annoying to go back and forth the item page and the shop page. Finally, the item description is not intuitive (not scrollable so you will have to wait to see the required ingredients if you want to craft an item). If they can clean and improve the UI and also improve the saving system and graphical options, this will be nicer. Right now everything just seems clunky and messy...
