it was all fine until that point - I heard ambient, music and voices. Now I only hear voices and no music but some ambient all other odd combinations. No voices is the most annoying, and that started happening at the very end of Chapter 1. Mind you, I did not even restart the game when it started happening and the issue persisted after a reboot.


I checked my sound card and everything else works flawlessly, dxdiag gives me no errors either.


Any ideas?

It's a bug mate. I have the exact same prob right at the end of chapter 1. very annoying. Ive just tried loading older saves and it sometimes helps with the ambience but seems to swap out other sounds :(

God, that hurts. It's not like I'm able to stop playing now, shit's too engrossing.

I'll keep looking for a workaround for now. Not cool, not cool at all.
