Hello!

I have been playing The Witcher 3 for almost a year now and I haven't had any problems with it until today (12.12.2021).

When I'm entering the game the FPS drop like crazy, image moves like I have only 1-2 FPS and GPU usage is always at 0%.

I tried changing the settings in NVidia control panel and make it use dedicated graphics but that does not seem to work.

Last time I played the game (01.12.2021) everything was fine, the game was running normal.

I checked and all my updates are the latest (Windows + NVidia). I also tried using the option Verify/Repair game from GOG but nothing changed.

In other games I tested this does not seem to happen, GPU usage is increased.

Also, my laptop specs are:
Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH05
16 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti

Can you please help me solve this problem?

If you are on Windows 10/11
have you tested in and administrator mode and in windows 8 compatibility mode?
Because I also had the game which lost all the fluidity and by putting in compatibility mode it is fixed

Hello!

I found the issue, finally. It was due to a program I had installed for remote working. It would run in the background and limit my performances in some games. I uninstalled it and everything was back to normal .

I had the same problem, TW3 running at 8 FPS. Tried so many things found on other online post to try an solve the problem, with a lot of people having the same issues over the past few years.
I finally solved my issue and what I found was that my citrix app for remote login caused the problem. Someone from another post mentioned that their remote application cause the issue so I removed mine and presto... SOLVED.
