I downloaded the B&W expansion. Then I downloaded the 1.21 patch. During patching I got an error message that the source file was corrupted, but then it said the patching was successfull.
But everytime I try to install B&W, it just says that my version of the game isn't supported and that I need to update it to 1.2.
I've then redownloaded the 1.21 patch, but now it says "This patch does not support your version of the game, please download a new installer".

Little help?

Ugh, installed a corrupted file? It's possible that there's no fix short of backing up your saves (which, thankfully, should be unaffected) and doing a full re-install. If your ISP is good, that's what I'd do, honestly. If you've got 100 megabit connection, you should be able to download the whole thing, all the everything, in just an hour or so. Set it all to download, go have supper, come back, install, and copy your saves back.

That would be the simplest fix, if you're willing to do it, I suspect.

EDIT: Oh, and obviously, run a file integrity check before installing :/

I have exactly same problem. Did you find a solution?
Verify the files.

A.I.Person.: Verify the files.
And how precisely would I do that? Where can I find the up-to-date checksums for the files?

You should not need checksums to verify if you have the game installers. When you run them manually, there's a checkbox option to verify file integrity before installation.

That doesn't work on patch installers.
EDIT: by which I mean there is no such option on patch installers

As Cavenagh says, they need to be installed in the correct order. This is sometimes confusing and gog needs to state the correct proceedure.

Solved it by installing Gog Galaxy, thank you guys anyway!
I'm from the future so I've got 1.32 which is the latest but still says it needs 1.2...WHY?!
