I have recently installed my brand new rx 5700 into my system and have been experiencing crashes in Witcher 3 ever since, despite DDU installing latest drivers, as well as any and all AMD related drivers being up to date.

Is anyone else having this issue? Can anyone help?

I've noticed that I can trigger the crash (sometimes completely freezes sometimes I get a black screen and the game closes) via going into my inventory and looking around for a few seconds.

Any help would be most appreciated.

I know that this reply came a little late, but unfortunately it is common for RX 5700 (XT) family as can be read on AMD forums (e.g. https://community.amd.com/thread/244315 ) I have recently bought RX 5700 and have same issues. If I look into event monitor it is described as AMD driver issue.

We must be patient until fixed drivers will be released.

Release notes for AMD drivers contains:
- Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products may intermittently experience loss of display or video signal during gameplay.
- Radeon RX 5700 series graphics products may experience stutter in some games at 1080p and low game settings.

Hope, that they will fix it before Christmas...
The only issue I had with my 5700 XT was when I opened inventory I would get a black screen and then crash.

How I fixed it was simply turning off NVIDIA hairworks. haven't had an issue since.
Had also problems with RX5700XT.
Since i use shadowsquality medium i have no crashes anymore.
Using 19.10.1
