Currently, WITCHER 3: WILD HUNT, THE - GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION is available at 50% discount. Would someone be kind enough to tell me if this is the highest discount so far, and if not, what was the highest one?

I THINK I saw it for 65% off during the winter sale, but I just picked it up for the 24.99 sale price and am not disapointed.

Hi Rudolf! A good resource for this is Is There Any Deal. It checks all the major digital stores for the current prices, and also displays the lowest known price along and when it was active.

Though I too thought I had seen a higher discount for W3 in the past, maybe it had not been for the GOTY edition. I have checked old newsletters, and it was just -40% during The Winter Sale.

Anyway, I am not saying the current price is too high for me, but I am slightly afraid the game will not appeal to my taste, since I have never played any serious RPG (hack'n'slashes not being considered serious). But given the universal acclaim my countrymen receive for creating W3, I think I will risk it after all.

I only wish CDPR were being fair to those of us who bought the base game. The expansion pass i.e. the stuff that upgrades you from the base game to the GOTY only has 40% off. It does kind of feel like they are giving the middle finger to folks who supported the game earlier.

They either need to bump up the discount or drop the base price of the expansion pass to bring it into line with pricing for the GOTY otherwise it looks like they are pulling a Bethesda and 'fair play' with pricing is supposed to be something which is at the heart of GOG and their owner CDPR.

This is definitely an area where Steam has the better policy - they implemented a new bundle system where you automatically get a proportionate discount if you already own items in a bundle, so you don't have to pay more to complete a set.

Its the cheapest I've seen W3 GOTY edition (I also use isthereanydeal). I have a lot of games yet to play, so in theory don't need to get W3 yet, but each and every sale I ponder getting it.
