So I have "pre-downloaded" the game via the gog galaxy software, think it was about 26gb or so.. Can't remember now. Will I have to download some extra files come the 19th of May or will I just load up the game and play?

I've seen in some threads people said it'd be a small .exe file to launch the game.

When/if you install the game now, as in pre-downloaded, you can install the game but it tells you at completion that all you have to do is download the last *small* piece of the game on release date.

Awesome, hopefully this will be the case. It took me 2 full days to download the game on my sucky 4mbs internet. Thanks for that. I have pre-downloaded the game but don't recall seeing any message informing me of that. Maybe I just clicked and dismissed it without reading :S

I have downloaded 647Mb and my transfer died for at least 10 minutes (to 0 kb/s), now it's back.
I think I will endure to 19th ;)
