Hi everyone,

I installed TW3 with GOG galaxy and played it for about 10h fine.

For no reason, I tried to install the patchs, and got back from 1.03 to 1.02 version, and now, my saves (made with 1.03) don't work anymore. Game says that they were made with a more recent version of the game.

I tried to get back to v1.03, installing the last patch either from GOG galaxy or my account on the website. But, when I try to run the patch, it says that it has already been installed but I'm stuck in 1.02.

What can I do ? where can I find the v1.03 patch version ? Will I be forced to install back again the whole game ?

If you keep installing previous patches over latest one's,one thing for sure will happen.
You will break the game and have no choice but to re-install the game.

maybe ypu just have to reinstall the whole game? the savegames should not be deleted if you uninstall the game

I found out here yesterday that save games are NOT backward compatable, so if you patch then play and save your game, then go back to an earliar version your save games will NOT work.

It even tells you this in-game on the save menu. :-)

Not having the game yet I did not know that, and if that is the case how come others do not see it ?

Well my best guess is that they just hit quicksave, or when doing manual save, they just do it and ignore everything else on screen.
Of course, this is conjecture on what others think and why they act, so there maybe other reasons. :-)

Well, the problem is solved. I Leave the solution here in case anyone wonders : you need to go to GOG galaxy > library > TW3 > more > manage > verify and repair, wich you click on. Worked for me.
