Problems loading previous save files.

I rolled back the Witcher 3 to version 1.31 so i can use mods and for a while everything was fine. After the most previous galaxy update i can't seem to open my previous save. I've tried uninstalling the game, verifying and repairing the game after changing it back from 1.32 to 1.31 and still i can't loads previous saves.

Any help wold be greatly appreciated.

Go back to 1.32 and use the Community Patch - Base and probably the Community Patch - Shared Imports too.

Hi adrople.

From the information contained within your post, it is safe to assume that you installed The Witcher 3 via the GOG Galaxy client and used the rollback option.

1.There is a possibility that the latest GOG Galaxy update did not install correctly, so in this case it could be worth trying to uninstall and reinstall the client or trying to run the game directly from its executable, in its installation directory.

2.There is also the possibility that after the GOG Galaxy update, the game got automatically updated to v1.32, due to certain client settings being reset post update, making mods incompatible.

3.Might be that after uninstalling the game you did not clear the directory of any residual files related to the mods, thus causing conflict with the v1.32 installation, while rolling back to v1.31 afterwards reinforced the file conflict, since the mods would need to be reinstalled as well, on the compatible version of the game.

4.It could be that when uninstalling the game you got rid of the saves as well.

Firstly, I suggest that you make sure that your saves still exist. In case you deleted them, there is a chance that they have been automatically uploaded to the client's cloud service and should be automatically recovered after game reinstallation and first boot, provided the client works properly. Otherwise they should be downloadable independently through the game's backup installers section.

Secondly, I suggest uninstalling the game and all of the added mods. After reinstalling, first rollback to v1.31 and then reinstall the mods.

Thirdly, if none of the above seems to work, download the offline backup installers of the game, which are v1.31 y default, install the mods and run the game without importing it to the client.

Hope this helps.
Cheers.
