Have you tried restarting your PC? Seems like a Galaxy bug to me, perhaps restarting the PC (and thus completely restarting the application) will fix it.

Have you tried downloading the game files manually, from your account page, and installing them that way? It seems that if the problem is Galaxy, perhaps you could try to avoid Galaxy and thereby skip the problem.

- You open up your account page (Library part)
- you click on W3
- right next to the "Try Gog Galaxy"-button (the one that you should never ever use!) you find the button "more".
-by clicking this button you'll get the option to show the "GOG Downloader Links"
-using them (clicking on the needed entry) you can download your stuff.

If you have never used the GOG Downloader, you will have to install it first.

Personally I never used any other means to get my crap from GOG. Works very well!!

Good luck...

Those links work only with GOG downloader. Here is the link:
https://www.gog.com/downloader

HOWEVER, GOG downloader is no longer supported so you might want to use a download manager.

EDIT: by "supported" I mean actively. It does work but someone from GOG staff have said in a post that they won't prevent
the GOG downloader from functioning on purpose but that they can't promise that future changes to the site won't cause problems.

You will have this here also (please see pic). You can perform your download from there as well (put all files into one folder, maybe at your desktop, and start the exe files from there).

Support will tell you the same about Galaxy - at least if they decide to be honest. :)

Well, to be fair, a program of such scope as Galaxy must be complex, so although I understand people's frustration with it, I would give the guys a break. :) They do have to make a client in order to grow, after all.

I don't use Galaxy, never will use a game client, and what I don't appreciate is the feeling I have of GOG pushing the client too hard (Galaxy installed with Witcher 3 from DVD without asking), but as long as I have my DRM-free installers, I am fine.

BTW, I had a Galaxy-induced problem with Pathologic HD: it wouldn't run on my system and the problem turned out to be remnants of the forced Galaxy installation through Witcher 3. I had uninstalled Galaxy, but there was a Galaxy folder with some files left in the Program Data folder. Manual deletion of said folder did the trick for me.
Such things should not be happening, but hey, there are worse things in life. ;)

Well, if you start looking at all the many post about "bugs" only in the W3 part of this whole forum, you will soon notice that about 50% of these so called bugs would not even be there if folks would stay away from Galaxy!

The rest are mod induced (not updated) or simply "I will not read" errors.

That aside: by presenting Galaxy in this state for that long a time, GOG lost (and will lose) reputation - absolutely useless in my opinion.
GOG was and is DRM free, your games belong to you (look at Steam), and all you need is to be able to manage your content all by yourself. Too hard for many?

Sadly, it is too hard for too many. People are too goddamn convenient (although that word is extremely relative, because using Steam would be as convenient for me as having a blowtorch put to my guts) and all too ready to let other people think for them. You can either accept that, or bang your head against the wall in frustration over the ways of the masses. :)
