Hi all,

so I decided to try out Polish version. Downloaded all the files (~3.8GB), the game was showing English subtitles with Polish voices (dunno where to change the subtitle language in or out of the game BTW, just see subtitles on/off with no language select). Fine, works for me. Then I wanted to find out if I can just switch languages back and forth quickly (under MORE->Settings->Language in GOG Galaxy). Switched to English, and then wanted to change back to Polish and guess what, need to download f***ing 3.8 GB again! So it's not stored after donloading? WTF? Why make such a hassle if somebody just wants to change the goddamn language.

Both English and Polish replies are welcome.

Galaxy is an installation client not the game. If you change settings in there you are changing what you want installed. If the option to switch languages is not in-game then you have to stick with what you have installed.
Thanks for the answer. It stinks really that they made it that way. I can't even find where those sound files are stored at, to make a backup or something, game files seem too convoluted...
Why were you trying to change it in Galaxy? Language settings in games have always been ingame...

I don't use galaxy, but for me the subtitle language is right under subtitle on/off.

You can change both audio and text language in-game, but only while in the main menu. Options --> Language will have three options (subtitles on/off, interface language, and audio language).

I have the English and Polish language packs installed, and I was able to switch even the audio from Polish to English with the in-game settings (i.e. changed nothing in Galaxy).

(On a side note: Interface languages listed all supported languages.)

Edit: I don't know if it makes any difference -- I doubt it does -- but my game is the GOTY version.

Awesome man. Didn't even think it might be different depending on where you access the menu from. Thanks!
