Story:Virtual-On is set up similar to a Versus fighting game. Two Virtuaroids (Mecha) face each other on a stage. The player(s) use a variety of firearms, explosives, melee weapons, and other techniques to destroy the enemy for a set number of rounds, usually a single battle, or best two out of three rounds, like fighting games.

Another one of those Sega games with forgotten PC ports, Virtual-On is a fast paced mecha fighting game with a rockin' soundtrack. The mecha designs are clean and memorable. It's a bit tough to handle, but satisfying to learn as you go through the stages of a special arcade-fighting game-mech combo! I hope while improving the modern reach of this title, a GOG re-release will also assist in improving general controller support, even if the twin-sticks can't be replicated.
