A new feature to the series, introduced in Max Payne 3, is the cover system, which allows players to gain a tactical advantage, and avoid taking damage from enemies. To progress through the linear story, players take on enemies throughout levels. The game features interactive cutscenes which transition seamlessly into continuing gameplay; there are no loading screens across gameplay and cutscenes.Show more

One of the most high-octane, john woo inspired action sequels, with noir driven story and dialogue that hypnotizes it's players. Late actor James McCraffrey delivers one of the best raw, deep and aloof voice performance in a video game about a gun toting protagonist with nothing to lose. This third entry served as a definitive experience to one gaming's greatest video game characters. You cannot call yourself a gamer without having played any of the Max Payne games. I also want to convey my hatred for Rockstar Games on this post. Long story short, I made an R. Social Club account using an old high school email address that no longer exists. Yes, it was a user error, but I didn't care about it. Only playing the game was my top priority. Fast forward over 13 years, and my account has yet to be restored, preventing me from playing any Rockstar titles on my Steam account. And Rockstar never bothered to address this issue. I was forced to download the pirated version which doesn't need the launcher and can install any mods I want without being warned multiple times their social club launcher will not accept third party mods. So, Rockstar, update your games, and there will be no need to pirate and install mods. Servers are inactive; no updates have been published, and the game is around 15 years old. That being said, you owe it to hardcore fans to make this available DRM-free on GOG so that future gamers can play it alongside the first and second games.
joguei no Xbox360 e pra mim foi uma experiência maravilhosa, gostaria de comprar e jogar no meu pc e desfrutar desse jogo maravilhoso de ótimos gráficos e uma jogabilidade excelente.

Absolute best third person shooter Rockstar ever made. No open-world slop, no driving for 15 minutes straight to a mission objective, just pick a level and start blasting. I'd love to be able to play this game DRM-free without that Rockstar Launcher crap! The unskippable cutscenes are annoying but can be fixed with a mod, letting you experience more gameplay without the story obstructing you constantly. The gunplay and ragdolls are so good, the best Rockstar has ever made. Not even GTA V has gunplay and ragdolls this good! The weapons are powerful sounding, too. I spent 300 hours on the Steam version just replaying my favorite levels in Arcade Mode (unlocked once you clear Story Mode at least once)! The Arcade Mode adds much more replay value as it always sticks you into the first gunfight of each chapter, letting you bypass the mandatory slow-walking segments that some chapters start with.

I have this game on DVDs but because they added a requirement that you must install Rockstar program to play it; however, I wasn't able to play unless I turn off the internet. Their program is so buggy and their IT are useless in recognizing the problem even after telling them of what the exact issue is. Thus I wish GOG sells the game without requiring Rockstar program to play it.

I don’t think this will ever happen, since the game is also on RGL, but we can hope. Not many people actually like MP3 because of its long cutscenes and the shift away from the comic-style dialogues, but as someone who played the first two games, I really enjoyed it and would love to have it in my GOG library as well.
**Why *Max Payne 3* Is the Best in the Series and Needs to Be on GOG** *Max Payne 3* stands as the boldest and most emotionally intense entry in the iconic series. While the original two games pioneered the noir-inspired narrative and bullet-time gameplay, *Max Payne 3* took things to another level—offering a gritty, cinematic experience that perfectly blended storytelling with refined third-person shooting mechanics. This game represents the evolution of Max as a character. No longer the trench coat-wearing cop in snowy New York, Max is older, more broken, and drowning in painkillers and regret. The narrative dives deep into themes of guilt, addiction, and redemption, making it the most mature and emotionally resonant story in the trilogy. Rockstar Games brought their signature storytelling flair, turning Max’s downward spiral into a tragic, unforgettable journey. Gameplay-wise, *Max Payne 3* is a masterpiece of refined combat. The shooting is responsive, weighty, and brutal. The use of bullet time is smoother than ever, with stylish animations and impactful kill cams that make every firefight feel like a movie scene. The physics-driven enemy reactions, destructible environments, and dynamic cover system elevated it far beyond its predecessors. It *needs* to be on GOG because it’s a piece of modern action-game history. A DRM-free version would not only preserve this masterpiece for future generations, but give fans a way to experience its powerful narrative and intense gameplay without being tied to outdated launchers or online restrictions. *Max Payne 3* deserves a permanent place in the PC gaming hall of fame—and on GOG’s shelves.

Before Knowing about The Max Payne Series I remember going into the store with my dad to look at a new game to buy around the time this game called MAX PAYNE 3 Release. It looked interesting to me, even if it had a 3 next to it and I never played the originals. Even though its harder for me to like the originals. Not hating. But this one out of all 3 that i've played, I LOVED IT. Played through it many times on the xbox 360. Got the steam version awhile ago, play it on there and was like, man I wish they was an offline version of this game. A DRM FREE VERSION?? Lets hope GOG Can make this game and even its original COME TO GOG! I BEG YOU ALL TO GET ROCKSTAR To come to there senses? Even if it seems impossible RN :(

Nosgoth
NosgothNosgoth was a free-to-play multiplayer action game, developed by Psyonix and published by Square Enix for Microsoft Windows through digital distribution. It was a spin-off from the Legacy of Kain series of action-adventure games, and took place in its eponymous fictional universe. Nosgoth employed a player versus player system in which each match consisted of two rounds. Teams were composed of characters assigned to one of two races: vampires, designed around hack and slash combat; and humans, whose gameplay was styled after third-person shooters. Between rounds, teams would switch to control the opposing race, and the team which accumulated the most points by fighting their counterparts won the match. Initially announced in June 2013 following internet leaks, Nosgoth was the first Legacy of Kain-associated game to debut in almost ten years, preceded by 2003's Legacy of Kain: Defiance. Though once intended for release as part of a single-player project, Legacy of Kain: Dead Sun, it was reconceptualized and continued development as a standalone title following Dead Sun's cancellation. When officially revealed in September 2013, Nosgoth attracted negative reception for its conceptual departure from the traditional single-player and story-driven Legacy of Kain formula. Initially beginning its closed alpha and opening up its servers to registered players in late 2013, the game's open beta began in January 2015 and ended in May 2016. On April 8, 2016, Square Enix Europe announced that Nosgoth's servers would shut down on May 31, 2016. Nosgoth's official forums also shut down on June 14, 2016.

Chrome: SpecForce
Chrome: SpecForceChrome: SpecForce is a standalone expansion pack for Chrome. The gameplay in Chrome: SpecForce is largely identical to that of Chrome, although it has been streamlined, while the overall difficulty has also been lowered. The player can survive significantly more damage (ostensibly due to wearing Power Armor), healing and ammo items are more common-place, and the control scheme has been condensed so as to require fewer separate commands.
