StingingVelvet: Any way to roll back an update on Galaxy? Is the offline installer still at 1.04?
if you must, as a workaround, forget galaxy and just get manual offline installers and that way you can be at 103/104/105 as you please. (now some of you may understand why i, a degenerate offline freak, like "traditional" things. anyway, galaxy this or that and auto updates, eh? go BUM and grab offline installers via your web account page for the game and that way you can have 103 as base install, and apply whatever patches YOU want/need.)
StingingVelvet: ..the draw distance was obviously lowered AND they toned down the cinematic effects.
really? is there actual and valid proof? preferably a legit YT video with direct comparisons?
surely not! those are serious claims!! can you yourself, if you claim this (from what? ..personal experience) show at least two pics of before and after of what exactly you mean? just like with that ram "fix"csv file, this claim may be fud or not factual. i don't want to believe it until i see valid and verifiable proof. the "good" thing is, it can be verified easily by comparing the two versions. it will just take some time, though not even that.
see, that's the beauty of drm free and offline games. i could test both at once (not running at once, but having both 104 and 105 installed and runnable without having to update, etc..) and confirm. or anyone else can/could too, so one of you, do this... remember that whilst many of you embraced galaxy, your web page account has the offline installer with separate patches. so any of YOU can test this claim. install one game to one directory and a new copy to another. the game is 103 so for one you would update to 104 and stop, and the other to 105. then start 104 and look at world and draw distance etc and take pics. then exit and start 105 local copy (with same ingame gfx settings, etc..) and do same. as it is, i loathe the weak draw distance in nigh any open world game. (when the fuck will we not have draw-in pop ins? 2055? maybe 2077?)
oh yeah, and you may need to delete any "config" files that are "shared" by the fact that some cyberpunk "files" may be placed in the usual " \document\my games" directories. no big deal. and that's IF those files clash. meaning your 104 will use 105 and therefore cause confusion. so the easy thing IF that happens is to just test 104 and delete any and all such files and test 105. and repeat as necessary going back and forth..
