chevkoch: You rarely post these days, is time scarce or is it tough to get excited by what's released?

Cyraxpt: More like i feel disattached from this forum so i barely post here not to say that most of the stuff that i could post here get's ninja'd by you (and others). :)

But yeah, still excited with the stuff coming out, Magnatron 2.0, Akuma (Alex & Tokyo Rose), the upcoming Futurecop! album and so on.
Wasn't aware of the August release of Futurecop! - see, you should post more often ;) But yeah, I know how it feels I guess, this thread and one other are basically the ones left I post in somewhat regularly now.

Dreamweaver - Retrowave is Dead
Lovers EP - PART II by Timecop1983 (preorder, release August, 5)

Timecop1983 - Girl (feat. SEAWAVES)
New release by Timecop1983 sure is interesting, although the song doesn't do much for me. The lighting in that video is awful. I'm hoping for a strong couple of tracks that hopefully offer something more than straight-up, generic Dreamwave.

I mean, that's basically Timecop1983 so i don't think you're going to enjoy the rest of the album, if anything you might enjoy his side project that he made a while back under the name of Division (2083 EP).

As for the video, well... i didn't even watched the rest of it, just let it running on the background for the music as i usually do for most videos (except for turbo killer, aka the best music video ever made).

Love the Journeys album, bought it on cassette tape. I'm just hoping for some progress within the subgenre, though not sure what it should evolve into.
StingR - Synth City

My favorite track on that one is: The CyberMercs
Is "Love My Way" by the Psychedelic Furs considered synth electro-pop? Better question: Is that band considered synth electro-pop?

They are described as alternative rock/new wave, the latter seems like it would fit the track you mentioned. For me, this lacks the synth focus to make it really synthwave or "synth" anything. Although the synths used sure have that classic, early 80s characteristic - again, new wave is not a label too far off I'd say.

Sweet. Thank you for that. I agree. It makes a lot of sense.

Do you know the documentary Synth Brittania? Really well-made historical look on British musicians' early use of synthesizers. Lots of unadorned synth sounds you might like if you're digging new wave :)
