Runibl: The biggest issue for me is that "News" section or the almost lack off.
Small and to the bottom??? and unable to scroll far enough back in time.

It is making it really hard for me to keep up as it is now. I just see me missing out on quite a few games, sales etc in the future.
That's been bugging me as well. Why on earth would they move "News" to the very bottom? I always checked that first thing because it was a great way to learn about new games that were added, upcoming sales, etc.

And as you said, you can't go back nearly far enough in time. In addition to that, there isn't even a dedicated "News" page to serve as an archive. If you miss an article, it's seemingly gone forever. That's just terrible design.

ferdinand82: If you remove the first 1080 pixels of each page you almost get a page that is useful. Gog, why are you using customers as testers for pie in the sky redesigns?
Another question you can ask GOG would be: GOG why do you develop a site design LIVE while users are using it ?
you are supposed to have the WIP ( work in progres) on another part and give us a link so we can comment on it this way chances are bigger we get a designs we ALL love and are able to use.

The new design should be at a differnt url something like gog dot com lash newdesign, not live as the current design
imagine people painting the electrical fences while the power is still on, or turn on the power while they are still painting., both will result in a shocking experience.

qwixter: Being old, I hate any change.

Now I have to scroll to the bottom for news. It's complete anarchy!

gabthelazy: >browse through the store
>hover a game title
>a video starts autoplaying
What were they thinking? They also removed the game's title if you don't hover its cover.
If it wasn't so sad it would be almost funny, but it isn't , its strange they create a new ( sofar not working) site, seems they took the feedback in the forums too serious, they think a overhaul would be needed, maybe it does but NOT this way,.

A community which started as a GOOD OLD GAME meaning we like OLD stuff, seems they (GOG) forgot we are not very fond of ( too) many changes yet they change it 100% , a layout that requires a roadmap and a pdf manula of at least 1,000 pages ( text only) and another 500 images to visually explain how the new site (should) work(s)

*** sighs **** (︶︹︺)

well i'[m off again.... have to recover from all this ٩(×̯×)۶

Why has my account info disappeared from the main page?

I now have to click the About or Community link to get my account info to show, outstanding piece of web design there!

It's horrible. The idea of coming on GOG is now dreadful to me.

Revert it.

Well, I just had to sign in by going via the discussion boards because the sign-in header seemed to be missing from the frontpage. And I'm finding that when I click on different things, I'm taken to pages with different languages, so something is still a bit off there.

I miss the newsfeed column on the left. It was one of the things that kept me visiting the site to see what was going on with GOG :(

I really wish people would STOP "IMPROVING" sh..tuff that was working perfetly.

NOW I cannot see the sales anymore on my 1280 screen with the Galaxy client and generally everything is sillier.

If you want to IMPORVE something, then allow Galaxy to minimize the lefthand games frame.
So there´s more place for your frikken webstuff in the main view.

In all seriousness, I have to thank GOG. I discovered the forums & RSS daily due to the changes and I stopped using the website and GOG Galaxy. I don't know what I was doing surfing the store for hours all the time waiting for that impulse buy to happen. Now I'm actually having fun and I'm saving money in the process! :D

Gonna save up for Cyberpunk 2077 & MechWarrior 5! Though I am very interested in Project Warlock! :O

After two more weeks to get acquainted with the "new" website, here‘s my brief assessment:

Honestly, I‘m at a point where I wouldn‘t hold it against gog if they simply went ahead and nuked the entire site from orbit. Start from scratch, because this absolute mess is beyond salvageable. Just raze the whole bloody thing to the ground. This site is an embarassment. It‘s a paint job (and not a good looking one) on top of another paint job on top of a website that‘s been held together with chewing gum from the get go.

But underneath the (awful) new interface, it‘s still the same clunky, broken, barely-functional mess it‘s always been. And since the latest changes things start breaking at an alarming speed. Things start breaking that I had no idea they could even break, but somehow they did it!

And that‘s just the obvious stuff, one has to wonder just how badly things are broken under the hood, especially since the introduction of these latest changes. It reminds me of Alaric‘s warnings that any half-way tech-literate person could haxx this site six ways from Sunday (and gog is unwilling/incapable of fixing issues, even if users point them out). In retrospect, his comments about vulnerabilities feel like coming from a character in an Irwin Allen movie - you know the one: the lone architect/science dude who figured out before anyone else that shit is about to hit the fan. So he's running around the building, with all sorts of paperwork under his arm, trying desperately to warn everyone that disaster is imminent and the place should be evacuated. And despite broken plumbing having turned the seventh floor into the Titanic and flames shooting out of air conditioners, management is like "Geez, this guy is such a whiner!"

You nailed the attitude of GOG precise concerning their website (and by extension their ancient forum software). Perhaps it's the management tier who (again) pulls through counting in "the complaints will die down sometime and through the new customers we compensate the old ones who are leaving".

Skimmed through the (RSS) news via mail and for deals there is always isthereanydeal.com for avoiding the shop.

LOL. I just noticed I missed so many new games. I was about to buy one of them and then I thought "why buy a game which GOG worked so hard for me NOT to see it". We are living in strange times really.

Curated takes too much space, would be better if it got its own page...

Anyway i have seen hundreds of webpages and 95% has no problem checking my settings and show up fine...
its should not be that hard to do i guess, the gog site as it is now is impossible to work with and navigate . (◕︵◕)
