Really love fairfox's posts for what they reveal of gog forumers' mentality. The ease and delight of feeling "irritated" or "bothered". I would rejoyce if it truly annoyed those who whine about it (and therefore show deserving it), but they certainly derive too much pleasure from pointing and nagging and even from embracing discomfort. A bit like the inhabitants of a building would seek for a tenant's weirdness to nag about and decreet as oh so unbearable, and try to find another one somewhere if it disappears.

Humans.

In the meantime, yeah, some just read it phonetically (if not diagonally) and skip to the content without breaking any noticeable sweat. But oh dear oh dear, the good people doesn't. And don't have much Jehan-Rictus on their bookshelves.

But if there is any "big deal" there, what they represent is closer to be this than fairfox's writing style. I shrug more noticably at them than at her self-amusements. Easy irritation irritates me too easily, I guess. In many contexts.

Well you are just as nuts as fairfox is, but more tolerably so...though you seem to go off on rants more... but meh, happens to me too.

I can actually understand some of the irritation, though. I personally can understand her relatively fine, but it must be absolute hell on the non-native speakers who likely have trouble with English as it is (and most of the people on this forum are Europeans). The thing is, it's not like it's done because of a language barrier or anything like that. She's fully capable of typing normally, but just doesn't, and that's kind of the big mystery. Nobody really understands why in the world she talks the way she does. It would be like if somebody posted in the forum on the regular in Norwegian or something despite being able to speak perfectly reasonable English, just choosing to use a different language for no discernible reason. It doesn't exactly call for a lot of the outrage that's been produced, but it would understandably cause people to start getting frustrated.

As far as why it became a subject, I'm pretty sure that, given Farifox's increased activity and how her typing's actually gotten even more convoluted than it used to be, it's doomed to automatically become the subject of nearly any thread she makes anymore. I see her getting slammed with -1s whenever she posts anything now because of it.

To me, those are two different aspects: pricing, and sales fatigue. Related, sure, but I don't think one is a direct alternative to the other.

If they lower some prices permanently, either the game gets little attention because it rarely shows up in a sale, or it does show up in sales and people whine about how it gets only a measly 30% off these days.

I think I need a decoder wheel to read half of what Fairfox posts, though it does keep things interesting around here. :P

back a few years ago i thought what fairfox used to post was funny , but using the same thing everywhere is just annoying everyone now, it will about time soon that people will start reporting you for it , this is a english forum try to post in the same language , if not probably create a separate sub forums for your gibberish.
