fr33kSh0w2012: Australian internet is rubbish.
There is a very good reason for that......One very old man,a dingo and a one legged chook that hops around like a rabbit are installing the optics but the problem's started when the old man says fetch the cable here, boy (dingos name). The dingo (boy) looks at the chook and the chook then lays an egg.And that's as far as it gets but we sure got a lot of eggs and it's on our politicians face as they play the blame game.I was promised a hook up last November 2017 but I don't care anymore as I'm selling fresh eggs to people walking past and making a small fortune. The dingo does tricks for them and has a hat in front of him and collects quiet a few coins. The very old man (glad you asked) is now buried out the front under the dug up part of the path that took him six months to dig with a bent spoon.

And this is Australia's Internet planning at it's best.

The End.

kohlrak: Why are people upset with the nexus? Was it over the loverslab/censorship thing or something else? I use it every now and then for my mods, but i noticed that some classic "essentials" are missing here and there.

fr33kSh0w2012: No because the owner needs certification, the guys a fruitloop and so are his moderators Like once this guy said

that his "Copy" of oblivion wasn't playing nice with a mod file

and one of his Moderators accused the guy of being a pirate and banned him I'm deadly serious.

One guy was banned for mentioning Console Modding making custom console modifications to the casings and putting in fans to keep the components cool and stuff.

Also read this I know I know it on Shteam but read it.

User had account only for 4 hours

and here is a Post by a guy on a different forum

ItsTheSasquatch 5 years ago

I used to actively watch the board where the mods posted who they'd banned, why, and then gloated about it. Then I stopped, because it was upsetting me to an unhealthy degree.

The ones that upset me the most were the bans on people who so much as dared to question the ethics of DRM, or expressed any opinions toward piracy other than "DIE PIRATE DIE" (I actually saw several mods post those exact words when banning someone just for being opposed to DRM).

Then there were the cases where people were banned for asking why other people were banned. Not even joking.

As if that didn't make me hate them enough, their site's security was so poor that they got hacked a few years back, and everyone's signup emails were stolen and sold to spammers (I still get ~10 spam messages per day--pretty bad stuff, too--despite getting no spam previously).

Too bad that hacker couldn't get a list of names and addresses for their moderation staff--losing their anonymity would be the best thing that could happen to the site.

Then I got banned there for **/No reason given/** well for being in chat and saying hi to the site owner

that was all I did all I said was

\me: \Hi nice site you've been working on.
\darkOne: \LOL

}User: fr33kSh0w2012: Banned from chat{
}User: fr33kSh0w2012: Banned from the forums{
}User: fr33kSh0w2012: IP ban{

So yeah they can go and Shove their site as far as I'm concerned.

Can't wait until GOG has their own Workshop.
Ok, maybe the owner's a piece of shit, but when you're actively calling for doxxing the admin and staff, i begin to wonder if there's a few missing details in regards to your ban.

EDIT: I kind of doubt the rest, now that i think of it. Didn't GOG and Nexus do some PR stunts together? Or does anyone think they just selectively apply their "die pirate die" thing?

I didn't know nexus got hacked, nice of them to let users know. I had a spam recently that showed username and was to email used there and had been wondering how that got out.
Newflash everyone's been hacked they just don't talk about it which is even worse.

I've been playing this usually I don't have time for mods since I have too many games to play already but I've been waiting for TTW forever and wanted to play some New Vegas.

This mod is definetly worth playing but it needs some polish:
Infinite loading screen issues needs to be mentioned by the mod. For those who play New Vegas alot it's known but I completely forgot about it so had to do some research. (Haven't played the game since release and don't remember it being an issue then)
ENB - ENB is nice but I prefer non glitchy games to shiny games.
The character casio sells an item called "APPLY TO TERMINAL TO FIX BUGS" and he has this item on his shelf
Various buildings don't mesh well with the landscape. You see this in the original game too but it's very rare. You'll see it here alot. Basically don't look behind the curtain. Go from point a to b to c and you should be fine.
Some objectives need to have a better explanation. I'm not talking about hand holding but they are clearly geared to those who have play tested the mod or created it.
Sometimes you'll do something without the consequences being known which affects gameplay it would be nice to get a heads up, yeah real life doesn't work that way but I'd like to know when I'm missing content or not.
A character asks you to retrieve an item but the item is called something else when you go to buy it so you have to think "Did they mean this?" Again this would happen in real life but I doubt it's intentional.
Floating fire textures in a part of the map
All of the barracks are pretty much the same to location of "random" items on ground and # of enemies although sometimes the type of enemy may be changed.

Played about 17 hours so far but it definetly feels like you are in a cardboard cutout. Don't explore all around. If you go to a city stick to the main builds, if you go on a quest stick to the quest objectives. If you do anything but that then you're wasting your time and you'll see behind the curtain.

MODS (Stuck with what they recommend and the CASM, JIP LN NVSE, NVAC)
4GB patch (for some reason the one on Nexus patched my steam cracked copy (I bought it) back to the non-cracked ver???, found a different ver elsewhere)
Mod Organizer 2
NVSE
JIP LN NVSE
Fallout New California
NVAC
Solid Project
Project Nevada
Mod Config Menu
CASM with MCM (disable all quicksaves in game and never use the quicksave keys, use this mod and manual save, load)
ENB (Looks nice but the graphics issues are really annoying (see entire textures, see through walls etc)
EXE
EVE
Robco Certified
Weapon Retexture Project

chutoi44: I went to see on the Nexus page of the game and many complain about crash at this time, and others as soon as they come out of the first room with the coach, I played barely 1h yesterday but it has me already well hype for the future, I hope to be part of those who do not crash and have no problems ..:
It could be a number of things causing it but I will still wait a bit longer. Thanks for the feedback.
Just an update, if you're running the GOG version of NV, you don't need the 4GB mod. I'm literally only using NVSE with it right now and aside from some clipping issues, which I'm blaming on their map designers, the mod runs fairly well.

I've gotten about ten hours into it thus far, and it's pretty decent, and the combat has been pretty frenetically paced.
I'm also enjoying the redesigned looting system and trading UIs. It's very old school Fallout.

I agree with the map design issues. Sometimes you won't even realize you're not supposed to take shortcuts until you're stuck on the side of a hill, in between invisible walls and can't move, then have to use the noclip function to float yourself back onto the "right" path. The graphics and some of the new higher def textures do look nice in places, and there's a lot more vegetation when you're moving through woods, etc, but there's also some odd looking trees with weird edges and a LOT of see through walls, just in the Vault area, then the path to Union City after.
