Rayman Legends - basically condensed happiness.
Fallout: New Vegas - the dark humour always cranks me up.

I'm unsure about Torchlight II. I love that game, but the happiness it gets me is more the manic kind of happiness that makes me forget to eat and sleep.

Matewis: Just stay away from STALKER! It's a brilliant game, but in a severe melancholy kind of way.
It actually made me happy when I played it a few weeks ago...one of the most fascinating and engrossing gameplay experiences I've ever had. But yeah, probably not exactly light-hearted...(the prequel Clear Sky is even worse...its story is downright poignant if you think about it).

As for games that make you happy, I recommend Flight of the Amazon queen...I found it hilarious, very funny game.

Okami. Its whole innocence and optimism really helped me get through a pretty rough phase in my life.

TheGrand547: wrong kind of happy
Well, regardless of its sexual content, it's a pretty fun and optimistic game.

I guess that depends on what you like; the games that make me happy are not necessarily happy or optimistic games, though some are. I hope you'll find a game that is the right one you need at this time and that will make you happy. :)

To be honest, that game confuses me.

Now I'm intrigued, in a good way.

Can I ask why?

TheGrand547: wrong kind of happy
Oh sorry. I knew someone was going to suggest it so I threw it out there.

Have to admit that when I played the first Dragon Age, I loved the interaction between the companions. Afterwards once it was all done, it was kind of empty. Haven't played any of the follow ups for that reason.
Also, if "laughing" qualifies as "happy", then :

- Giants Citizen Kabuto

- Sam & Max [everything]
I don't know if Little Inferno is happy, but it sure is cute, with Tim Burton-like dark humor.

I get in there and I'm just lost as on what to do next. Been watching the Let's Play videos out there and they don't seem to be helping.

A bit overwhelming. For example, my character keeps getting over tired. I figured out that problem but it took awhile. I was working him to near zero energy and the energy wasn't coming back with sleep. I was overworking him.

One of my moms suggested a few plugins and I'm going to give them a try.

This also seems to be one of those games where videos outweigh written help.

Having the same issue with Kerbal in fact.

Yup, I;ve seen it. A couple of the youtube folks have referenced it.

I'm probably just overthinking it. I don't like going into a game without a plan.
