I'd sorta go with WindForge, Ring Runner, 140, World of goo?, Tyrian (and other vertical shooters?), Pixel Piracy, Magic Maker, Terraria, Clarc?, Beat Buddy, Rayman Origins, Triple Town, PixelJunk Shooter, Tales from space: Mutant Blob attacks, Dust, Fez.

Depends on how old school you'd want to go. Go 8bit, i would say Joust, Tetris, and a few other old ones.
