Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

DieRuhe: What does "installation broken" mean? Just tried to download Mount & Blade Warband. Uninstalled it specifically so I could install it through Galaxy, and no love. I tried "verify/repair" with same results. Guess I'll go back to the old way for now.

edit: trying it again, just for the heck of it. The first time I tried downloading the client it didn't work. The next day it did. Sure seems like a slow game installation, though. If I did it the old way I'd be playing already. Good thing I didn't start drinking yet...
I always seem to have trouble with that game and Galaxy. But normally I've only seen installation broken if you have the game or DLC installed before trying to install or import the game in Galaxy.

That game and DLC needs a complete fresh install...

Seems to be working fine, could you add the ability to sort my game alphabetically, and also by game rating.

Keep up the good work

{edit] Just noticed the Galaxyclient helper.exe is using 300MB of memory, memory leak?

I killed the process, it restarted at 15MB then went upto 147MB where it is steady

I also noticed when I kill the Galaxyclient helper. exe it refreshes Galaxy to the store page.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.
Please be aware that Client will accept any folder pointed to and will overwrite files inside it (this can for example wipe some mods or damage other apps in case of pointing to a wrong folder) and will update the game to the newest version (current default language English).

== KNOWN ISSUES ==

- few games are not yet compatible with Galaxy and are marked accordingly on Library page
- games not compatible with your current operating system cannot be accessed from the Library page
- when starting with the OS, Client doesn’t start minimised
- back / forward navigation is only available in Store section and requires further work
- pausing downloads or throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- games installed in Galaxy alpha 0.6 that included DLC may require a full game reinstall in the beta
- reinstalling Galaxy (Windows) to a different folder than the initial install will cause an error
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer
- UI is currently available in English only but occasional quirks may happen where “download extras” list is displayed in another language
- option to change currency and some other settings aren’t yet accessible in the Galaxy
- PayPal payment window sometimes does not show properly on Windows

I guess it'll have to be one of those things I wait on, where Galaxy is concerned. Warband was the only game I had installed (the old way), and I uninstalled it before trying Galaxy, but two tries = two fails. Back to the downloader so I can play!

FiatLux: I understood what you meant "that you wanted a "take back" opportunity when sending a friends invite (a take back before anyone had accepted) .
My point were and is that the "standard" way of implementing that on Steam , as you well know , is that if you send an invitation and regrets it , then what's the big problem ? just delete the person from your friends list afterwards *if they accept* your invite , it's called managing your friends list or correcting mistakes - as you please ;)
Why on earth have GOG use lots of resources on giving people "take back opportunity" when / if (?) already implemented in remove person from list afterwards ?

Anyway , I might be in err here , with spending the resources to implement feature I mean , if this is something that you really thinks ought to be implemented then I think that you ought to put up a wish for it at the wishlist :
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy

[...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: As I well know? How would you know what I know? I don't use Steam; I don't even have a Seam account, never will have one. My question was genuine, as I have no idea what the "standard" or any other way of implementation is.
IMO, it'd probably be best if you didn't make assumptions about people you've never interacted with.
Let's see , in my first response I wrote :
"if GOG use the same concept that Steam do then the cancellation is called "remove person from your friends list" , and I would be very surprised if they don't implement that as a standard feature ;)"

To that you didn't profess any "ignorance" as to how Steam works so "excuse me" if I thought that you knew anything at all about Steam basics.
But I still do not see why you have to start acting offended and telling me what I should assume and not assume.
I generally do quite well..
Yes this is the "GOG scene" so one might expect that some people are totally ignorant about how Steam works, but I honestly don't think tat I am "guilty of any crime here" , I only see you as unnecessarily harsh and I *never* wrote that your question were not genuine , on the contrary I told you were to place your wish and NOT where to stick / put your question if you read my post as if it were the other way around then there is nothing that I can do about that.
Relax please , I were only trying to give an opinion based on "how stuff works" and I did point you to where you can place wishes - what more do you want ?

mount and warband failed to install, I used the import option [was alreay installed]

Two worlds II which I have installed, once again I used the import function, but the client started to download the whole game again 5GB, I had to kill the client.

I aborted the download of Two worlds 2, but everytime I start up the client it starts downloading 5GB again, I renamed the game folder. so it won't get over rwritten.

The game I have installed is 'two worlds 2 epic edition' the one the client is downloading is called 'Two Worlds II Velvet Edition' ??

Having a problem installing Witcher 2 via galaxy. It downloads all the files just fine, it then says moving 0.0% then gives me the error shown in the attachment. The drive it is installing to has over 100gb free and I have also tried launching Galaxy in admin mode, specs:

Win 8.1

FiatLux: you can buy games on DVD that needs Steam to install)
avatar
Pheace: And you can buy games on DVD that require a GOG account for updates/dlc, what's your point? :)

As for beta, the client seems to randomly flash in the taskbar sometimes with no clear reason why.
I don't see where you are going with this (?)
You take something completely out of context and then asks a silly question ! .
What I wrote were in response to another users remark : HERE IT IS :

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

avatar
Tospaa: sa gençler

when will the steam integration feature come? does anyone know?
Hopefully never , GOG sells DRM FREE stuff where as Steam is DRM in itself (you can buy games on DVD that needs Steam to install)
For CORE users of GOG then the DRM FREE is a PARAMOUNT concept / feature of GOG and their games !

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT Pheace , so I honestly don't understand your behaving . The guy asks for Steam integration and I tell him hopefully never and tell him why (that Steam is DRM even to the point where you can buy games on DVD that you think is non-Steam but actually requires Steam client to install as they needs Steam to even install , where as GOG IS ABOUT DRM FREE GAMES.
So Pheace , I find your behavior and question quite odd to say the least !!!

Because the invites are sent out in batches. Many people are still waiting for their invite. So only thing you can do is wait :-)
