1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

barrywmartin: I searched this forum but was unable to find information about my specific issue. My account to gog works perfectly when I am online, however, I cannot seem to use it to log into the Galaxy beta client 1.0.0.871. Do I need to create a new password for my account to use the client? Does the client require a new password in general? I have it installed and can use the offline mode to launch my local games, but I have never been able to successfully log in. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. I know this is beta software and I would be glad to wait if this is a bug.
No, you use the same login as for the website. You should check if your firewall prevents the client or any of its services to go online.

pyrotek85: I used the same username/password combo as I always have on the website, so it must be something else.
Thanks for the reply pyrotek85. I think you are right. My account online account seems fine (I recently made a new game purchase and logged out/in and was successful. I will reset my password via the Galaxy client and see if that helps.
Not sure if this has been mentioned...

I already had my Might and Magic games installed. I imported 1-5 to the client but none of them worked. Dosbox would start and immediately crash.

I uninstalled them and then re-installed from the client and they work fine.

pyrotek85: Well I'm back with new and exciting problems lol

I'm now trying to install on my gaming rig, and both brand new installations and imports are failing due to an 'out of disk space error', when I actually have over 400+ GB free. First difference that comes to mind between this machine and my media server where the installs worked, is that this one is using an SSD.

Anyone with SSDs installing successfully? Anyone with mechanical drives getting that same error?
Same here. No SSD though, classic HDD. Getting "Installation failed: out of disk space" when trying to update existing games or install new ones from the library. Running GOG Galaxy 1.0.0.871. Have 150 GB available on the drive.

Running a 64-bit Windows 8.1. My already installed games are at "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\GOG Games" instead of "C:\GOG Games".

Client is installed at "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Galaxy Client". Maybe should have left that to "C:\Galaxy Client" ?

Done the following so far:

• Installed the client
• Changed default game installation folder
• Scanned existing games folder to import them
• Games tried to update, but failed with "out of disk space" error
• Closed the client, restarted it with administrator privileges
• Games tried to update, but failed with "out of disk space" error
• Tried to install a game from the library, but failed with "out of disk space" error

Thought it might be related to the games being installed in French but installer trying to update with English versions (hey, you never know), but it does not seem to be related to this, since for instance Banished and Rogue Legacy are only available in English.

As of now, it just keeps retrying and failing.
If you need more details, please let me know.
Should Galaxy's library show whether i have DLC for game or not?
It doesn't show that i have DLC for Mount and Blade: Warband and it's not shown in extras (so it's not possible to download it through Galaxy).
Lovin the beta so far.
ebin
Question... Are the achievements working??? I've been playing Witcher 2 for a while...so far i haven't earned anything.
Two questions, really quick. Before we start, I haven't really been able to poke around Galaxy yet so if these are answered else, My apologies.

1) Are my saves imported into Galaxy (i.e. I've been playing Bastion on my computer. When I start Bastion up, will it pick up from where I left of or will I have to start over?)

2) Are the games installed in a cloud sort of thing or on my computer? (My computer can't handle Alan Wake. Could I play it in Galaxy or will I have issues? )
I have noticed with Empire At War Gold Edition that expansions don't count towards time played. I was wondering if that would be something that will be added down the line.
Please fix Galaxy so it stops deleting my game installs after an update. Very, very annoying. Especially on the larger games...

This is the 2nd time my library has been wiped out after an update. Please fix!

Edit: I won't be a very happy camper if I end up having to re-download Witcher 3 multiple times.

So is there a good way to get games that don't show up automatically on Galaxy (because their installers are old) to start to show up, other then deleting and redowloading them?
I attempted to install American McGee's Grimm (Season 1-3) several times over the course of yesterday but each time unsuccessful, some times it would just go straight to it not being able to download saying "Server Problem", or corrupted files, or it would download for a bit then stop and say one of those things. I've tried everything from restarting the computer, restarting the client, removing the game from the installation folder, using the import folder feature, & verifying. I haven't had this problem with any of the other games yet.
Yo.
Any Alpha testers want to add me as friends so I can test it by largely ignore most of you? :P
Wow this is looking fantasic, keep up the good work!
