1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Not really a bug, but more of a huge glaring oversight. A way to search and add people as friends is urgently required. Having to hunt people down on the forums without being able to search them by name anywhere is horrible. Take this post for example, i'm posting here not just to tell you this, but to let a friend actually add me to their friends list.
is there some sort of delay with for the emails I signed up but not got a email yet and noticed on other forums its a open beta

jon1138: Little Big Adventure 1 doesn't run using Galaxy. A Dosbox window opens but closes immediately after.
I just tried it and it worked for me. Hve you installed it via Galaxy or using some of the import functions?

I'm not seeing any indication on what's compatible with Galaxy in my library. And I have quite a few games that I've bought that when I try to scan and add games to, I just get "Did not find any games to import".

Also, does Galaxy not support adding games that were not bought on GOG? As in serving as a launcher for everything I have?

jsjrodman: Also it seems currently auto-update is a per-game setting. That might be okay, but there should be a GLOBAL auto-update setting and it should be easy to find before galaxy auto-updates anything.

EckoShy: And I would file a bug report, but I'm not clear on the part about about including a Galaxy client log. I found the location where the logs are, but there are multiple logs and I don't know which ones would have the useful information needed for the report.

Destro: Feel free to include entire log folder aipped and just provide an explanation of what happened and steps to reproduce. If you want to help even further, you can always close Galaxy, remove all the logs and then relaunch the Client reproducing only steps required for the bug to occur - this will result in much cleaner logs addressing only specific issue being reported.

KJTB8: Posting here for advice whether to post a bug report. 've searched and cannot find mention of this anywhere else.

I've only just d/led Galaxy, and wanted to put it through paces I'd commonly use it for. I downloaded Call To power 2 through Galaxy, and launched it. I had the common issue of the movies not playing. I quit out, changed the application file to XP compatible, and launched it from the file directory. At this point, the movies run properly.

I exited out, and went back to Galaxy to launch the game. From here, the videoes no longer run in game. I quit out, and relaunched from the directory, and the movies work again. I checked Galaxy again by launching the game, and the movies in there do not run.

It looks like that when you need to run a game in compatibility mode, Galaxy doesn't recognise any changes made.

I am running 64bit WIn 7

Any advice would be most welcome

It also deleted my save games... not cool, not cool at all. I went to play some KOTOR and my saves were gone, didn't even get a chance to back them up. No warning, nothing.

Destro: When uninstalling game you should have an option to select whether saves will be left intact or should be removed. Did you report the issue to bug tracker? See sticky post on top.

This is a very weird situation.... We'll look into the logs as soon as you post them, but just to be sure - since I cannot imagine any other reason why this could happen on update... did you by any chance install your games into the same folder as the Galaxy Client is installed?

Had a problem on checkout with a game.

Galaxy does not link me to my paypal account, or at least the link doesn't work, if galaxy is also a web browser, or other way galaxy simply doesn't launch the main browser to complete transaction.

if is the second, it will take about 20 minutes to patch it

How I install a game in an other language? The language option under "Configure" is available only AFTER the game is installed! To change the language I have to install the english version first. Then I can switch the option and I have to re-download the complete game in the new language! That is stupid in my eyes... Why I can not set the language BEFORE I click on install?

I made a subfolder named 'Games' inside the 'GalaxyClient' folder. Could that be the reason? Should I make a new folder outside the 'GalaxyClient' folder?

When I submitted my issue I could not find a folder named 'Logs'. I searched all folders assosiated with GOG and couldn't find it.

Also this is what Galaxy did when all my games went missing. The client takes a bit longer to load up, then it acts like it's trying to refresh the games list and library. It hangs for a second then everything is gone. The folders are left along with the uninstallers but all other files are gone.

Yes, that is most likely the reason :). You see, what happened was that once there was an update to the Client, its Updater app was cleaning existing installation folder of the Client before installing a new one in the same place. Since you installed your games within a folder of Client installation, game files were accidentally wiped with each such update cleanup...

For now I'd strongly suggest installing games outside of the folder where Galaxy is installed and in the future we will look into making the update cleanup mechanism a bit less zealous :).

Yes, galaxy start only with that exe without HD mode.
Try this.

1. Make a back up of both exe files. [desktop is the best place]
2. Rename the original exe by adding .old to it. [inside the game folder]
3. Rename the modified exe to match the original [if the name already matches you can skip this step]
4. Try to launch from Galaxy.

Doing this might trick Galaxy into using the modified exe. If it doesn't work you can change the names back or just delete them and move the ones from your desktop back to the game folder.

If none of that works make a feature request to allow custome exe files to be selected for launching a game.
All the info you need to make a feature request is covered at the top of the forum in the blue text.

Ya that makes sense. I'll go ahead and move the games folder to another location. Glad that we were able to find this little bug.
