Luckily it wasn't 696, as that means threesome. I think?

Albeit now that I think of it, why is that one participant with their back towards the other two? Are they sleeping, or jerking off? I hope it is not adultery.

I'm just glad that the evil number wasn't 222, because I was born the second child by two parents on a Twosday, the second day of the second month of the second year, and live at house number two on Two Street - excuse me two seconds, I need to use the spitoon - P'twoey!
666 is the number of the beast.

Or so some say. Never heard of the 616 variant.

In any case, it is just made up nonsense.

Looking at the price for that game for me, it is currently $9.79 AUD, with 67% off.

That 67% off is a little concerning, because some could claim it is really 66.6% rounded up.

Anyway, as they say, the devil is in the detail.

And if folk want to believe in such nonsense, then so be it ... the rest of us enjoy being entertained.

Honestly I don't know how the world survived past June 1966.

Word has it, that GOD has been working on upgrades to Heaven, to fit everyone in ... mostly because Hell is already overrun with too many folk, and he (or she) has done a deal with the devil.

Apparently lots of trade folk (men & women) have been going to Heaven when they die, because their trade expertise is needed. Some had full expected to end up in Hell, but GOD is having a devil of a time trying to get enough good workers ... or bad ones. It's a devilish situation, at least according to Alice here on Earth, him being the Devil's Advocate.

Rumor also has it, that we will shortly hear more about 999 ... because there could be some related mileage.

It's $4,04 in my region. So I guess it can be interpreted as "error 404, price not found"

HunchBluntley: What makes you say it's "infamous", as opposed to "famous"? Is there something particularly negative that that number is associated with?
avatar
BenKii: Ya know, this entire time I thought infamous just meant "more famous" than "regular famous". And I even played Infamous for PS3 so I should've known that! Whoopsee. :O

So no, 451 isn't negative at all.
Ah. I thought there might've actually been something that I hadn't heard about.

(BTW, "notorious" is another one that means the same as "infamous", and that I've also seen lots of people misuse. :) )

Just because I really like to be picky, there is a slight difference. :)

'Notorious' is the more general and weaker of the two terms; it means that something is known for being bad or having bad qualities. 'Notorious' also doesn't need to be personal, it can refer to things more generally. For example, a country can be notorious.

'Infamous', on the other hand, is more about personal reputation, and it's a stronger term than 'notorious,' more closely linked to being 'evil' rather than just 'bad.' And since it's more personal, you wouldn't generally say, 'That country is infamous,' but rather something like, 'That general is infamous.'

Pedantry feels soooo good!
There's also a small difference between civil and sibyl. One has tact and knows when to be silent, the other froths from the mouth uncontrollably and demands to be heard, heeded, and obeyed.

Isn't that just the devil doing a handstand?

Pettiness and pedantry demands a certain level of exactitude; precise, meticulous methodology on behalf of the aspiring individual. Generating a response to a comment of that length requires appropriate preparatory time, lest you act hypocritically due to careless neglect, becoming everything you despise in the process; or worse still, suffer the ridicule of other jeering pedants and onlookers (me).
