Ah no. See, the point about Nash equilibrium is that it's the optimal strategy if you don't know anything about the other player (or assume they follow optimal strategy too). If you have extra information about the strategy your opponent uses, e.g. by talking, reading their facial expressions, knowing that they're poor players, knowing they don't make sound judgments... etc. etc. etc, then you can pick a "better" strategy that gives you better results than Nash equilibrium strategy, but in that case you are not in Nash's equilibrium (and if your opponents realizes you're not using your optimal strategy, he can pick a better counterstrategy that gives them better results and makes your play suboptimal. Of course, if you notice that then you can pick a countercounterstrategy).

I mean, as long as you've considered how to balance it technically you could sign up people who aren't even playing and someone will shoot them.

I'm not opposed to 'playing' but realistically that will mean getting shot long before I'm actually able to log in and see what has transpired. I'm not really online at the same time as most other potential players.
