Oh great. Yet another shameless attempt at smuggling user data collection consent. This is getting old GOG.
Also also, afaik being based in Poland you are obligated to inform about the REQUIREMENT of subscribing to newsletter (in order to participate in the giveaway) in EVERY PR message of yours - this one, the thread OP post - is missing such info, which means, it's basically illegal.

viranimus: Surely I am not going to be the only one to comment on how this is tethered to marketing newsletters? Right? Is there not already too much marketing in the world to not be adding to it? Kinda stamps a huge asterisk on "free" and "giveaway" when it comes at an expected cost. Just Sayian.
I was kind of late so you are the first one this time :P

Breja: I already said so in the previous giveaway. Everyone and their mother told me to fuck off and delete my account :D

We used to have giveaways with no strings attached - now those have gone the way of the dodo, like so many other hallmarks of GOG's past.
Oh, new profile avatar, well now I will have to rememorize the new one (for faster user recognition) :P
But yeah, we once had giveaways with no requirements.
Now we are required to agree to something that isn't beneficial FOR THE USER.

It's really... not (awesome).
Judging by your low rep and default forum tag while you seem to have old-ish account I take it you weren't particularly active in the forums over those years and missed a lot of recent controversy involving GOG...
What step am I missing? I am already subscribed to newsletter. Still shows game at 3.99 and not free.
Thank you ! :)
Thank you very much !
It was a game I was intrigued by since its launch !

Go to home page (https://www.gog.com), about a quarter of the way down.

Yeah, sorry about that. I know that can be annoying. But it was time for a change and for whatever reason Mal Reynolds felt right.

At least I didn't change my name. I still get confused about GR00T changing to TerriblePurpose :D

This time I had a small hesitation, between unsubscribing as soon as I add the game to my library… or keeping the subscription as training material for my spam filter ;)
Thanks for the freebie!
Nice gift, but what happened to the Linux version of the game on GOG?
This one wasn't on my radar, but now I can give it a chance.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Yeah... The way GOG currently has it you can conceal your identity with just mere support request.
Steam has actual nickname history, and if not available (for example wiped by user) each user still has unique system-wide ID, that is visible and checkable by ANYBODY.
That DOES prevent a lot of frauds and other nuissances,
And GOG just doesn't have it.
Just yet another attrosity from the dark ages.
Sigh.
Thanks for the freebie! ^_^
One sale, two surprises... Thanks, GOG! :)
