Good thing no games with microtransactions are allowed here at Fort Anti-DRM GOG.com!

Oh wait...

aleniavamp: This mess... this is a whole new level of bait and switch :/

Im just upset because I was really, REALLY enjoying this game. Me and my son have been having a blast playing this together.

Ugh.
It happens. I think the only reason they made it a standalone to begin with was due to the demand from TW3 players. Then they wanted it to compete against Hearthstone and now we have the mess it is today. Gotta love overambition.
Has Gwent become that bad? I played it for a while back when the open beta started over a year ago but stopped eventually. Last I heard was that the players were really annoyed by changes they made at the end of last year?
This is actually how many of these competitive micro-transaction fueled games work. They make you spend money on certain over-powered units/items/weapons, then a "balancing patch" renders them mostly useless, and introduces new elements to the game, so you have more things you can spend your money on. Rinse and repeat.

You mentioned you didn't spend a lot of money, and that you enjoyed the game while it lasted, correct? Seems like a fair deal to me. Move on and learn your lesson about micro-transactions and games in development.
This also highlights why online only is actually worse than drm. You have nothing, you pay to rent something for a while, but it's never sighing your control. Drm can be broken at least.
This is why one should not spend money on online-only games, or microtransactions, and certainly shouldn't use DRMed games like GWENT.

There's nothing to refund, because the literal value of a "keg" is absolutely zero. It is NOTHING.

CDPR/GOG need to get that shit out of GOG entirely. Or fix it so it's not a shitshow of, "How can we exploit people?"

(Protip: Just because it's a card game doesn't mean you have to do randomized packs. Take a look at Android: Netrunner tabletop game for a counterexample. Just sell expansions.)
