Why can't you just search the username to add to your friend list? I hope this is temporary, it's ridiculous.

Don't forget that this is all part of Galaxy and that Galaxy is still beta. The ridiculous thing here is that GOG thougt it's a good idea to dump all this incomplete beta-stuff (feature-incomplete, as Galaxy is, normally means alpha, but who cares for words anyway...) on the website too -.-

I know the solution for not spamming in the forums. "Buy" a free game as a gift and send it to your soon to be friends. On a redeem page there's a gifter's avatar that you can hover with your mouse cursor. Obviously it's even more inconvenient for a user... ;>
