I only play one game at a time and I fully enjoy the game. sometime ago I had a craze of online games and I spend a lot of my time in playing games.
Ah, the good old "paralysis by "analysis" . One way out of that is to put a time limit on your selection ie. pick out a handful of games you want to play and then give yourself 5 minutes to pick one and then stick to that choice.

Choosing a new game becomes hard because the brain is trying to make the "best" choice and with so many games the brain has to weigh pros and cons to each game out of hundreds and that's a tough process. The brain is scared to make the wrong choice so it continues to come up with new pros and cons for new games all the time - it becomes a loop that the mind cannot escape from and hence you can't decide what to play. That's why a strict time limit will "force" the brain to make up its mind and choose.

Try to stick with the game you choose and finish it - also play Deus Ex.

GameRager: And Thief(all of them)
Hell yeah!
My mood and length of the game. I use How long to play website for time to beat.
Completely on a whim.

Sometimes I only want to play games that can be completely controlled by the mouse (when the room is too cold for me to put my arms outside the bedclothes). Sometimes I will play an action game that needs the full keyboard and a mouse. Sometimes I quit the game as soon as the title screen begins because I have changed my mind as it was loading. (Not so common now that I have a newer laptop.)

Often I keep at a particular game because it has captured my attention.
