While we're on the topic...I'd be interested if you do have them.

Is GOG at a possible risk of shutting down sometime in the future?
Yes.

Same with Steam and any other digital store you buy from. If you're not making your purchases with this in the back of your mind you're doing it wrong.

Emob78: Depends on how much of their revenue they're spending on booze, blow, and hookers.

From the looks of GOG corporate offices these days, I have a feeling they're gonna do just fine.
Are you suggesting that they're not spending as much money as they should on hookers, booze and blow? Sure, to abstain is the mature thing to do and all, but the warm hearted and sensitive humanitarian in me mourns for their lack of hookers and blow.

The origin of modern tragedies.
After the coming o Blizzard that's probably not likely for the foreseeable future.

Dartpaw86: Someone online said that GOG was suffering financially and that there is a risk that it would go under, meaning my games library would be gone.

So being the paranoid person that I am, preparing for any situation, started backing up all my games just in case of that possibility.

But halfway through that, I thought to myself "Should I believe just one person?" so I'm asking you guys, just to double check.
There's no need to worry about this and don't believe everything you read on the internet.
