Though I've generally been happy with the games I've purchased through GoG, there is one outrageous exception in the case of the so-called Enhanced Edition of Neverwinter Nights. Besides the trouble of just getting it to start, it contains some awful bugs that make the game unplayable, as you're merging with/forced into certain types of items, causing you to get permanently stuck. I've started several campaigns, only to end up completely stuck due to the bugs. I've contacted the company, but they don't react or respond and unfortunately, the Diamond version, which I also own, has its own problems. Although GoG does at least reply to feedback, it's awfully disappointing that they've allowed themselves to be used to sell a product that isn't working. Or am I mistaken? Is there some way to make NWN EE work? If anyone has ideas or tips, please let me know.
Although it's unlikely to happen, it would have been nice if GoG offered a working version of NWN to those who have been misfortunate enough to purchase the "Enhanced" Edition.
Update 24/09/21:
An update was posted yesterday and it looks like they finally got around to fixing the issue that was preventing me from proceeding in numerous campaigns. Hopefully no other game-breaking bugs have been introduced by this update. There is home hope after all, it seems.
