You know, I've been checking the GOG Twitter feed of late, and I'm very tempted to create an account just to shoot the shit with the GOG folks... even if it turns out to be only Linko. The casual banter is quite fun to follow. Well played, GOG!

There's a discrepancy between the title of your post and its content.
Twitter is absolutely toxic imo, one of the worst sites on the net, full of crazies. Its only positive aspect is that it shows you what scumbags and cretins many of those with political power are.
Uh, sure, let's turn something that was to be light-hearted commentary into something completely else just because.... Who pissed in your cereal this morning?
I don't think you should encourage people to get a Twitter account. Twitter turns people into monsters.

Twitter's no worse than the internet in general.
Resistance is futile. You WILL be assimilated.

I definitely can relate. It's very tempting. However, I'm glad that I have yet to be tempted. Although, I was very close to pulling the trigger before Yooka-Laylee came out and all the updates from Playtonic. Getting it to follow GOG is also tempting. I have a reddit and a facebook with anonymous accounts so I'm set on that. I think you could compromise by getting an anonymous Twitter but it's your call. I'd hold off for a much better reason than just banter.

So they were all innocent, nice people until twitter transformed them? You have a scenario for a B horror movie there; go sell it!

And monsters into presidents.

Don't social media horror flicks already exist? 'Unfriend' for example.

I use Twitter quite a bit for business, but as a personal social media account I've never really seen the point.
It's a stupid and pointlessly limited way to communicate, there are many better mediums for that.

I suppose there is value in following a bunch of individuals and businesses you like and keeping up to date on their latest releases, current projects etc. but I imagine there are better ways to do that too.

So from someone who actually uses Twitter... I'm not sure I'd bother.

Well, let's say it brings out the worst in people. The level of malice and aggression on Twitter is pretty extreme. At least in part it must be due to the format.

Is this a trick question? I thought morolf pissed in his own cereal every morning.
