A PC based Tenchu/HItman type game (exactly like both, 3D, free roaming, but really authentic historical and where you are part of clans just like would in feudal Japan while killing key figures like you aim for in Hitman).
How about a previous game brought back to life? That would MMORPG based equivalent to the original style and theme of SWG with all the hype and fanfare. The complete awesomeness that came on the first release (due to being Star Wars,
Limited MMORPGs, and community involvement in development the anticipated community was huge for pre-nge and the first night while everyone was exploring their most awaited features was probably the funnest multiplayer I ever had (along with the original BF1942 which just was crazy funny due to the stunts, hacks, etc (something about driving a cruiser in multiplayer was great)). Also with regards to SWG, no game had such involved trade/skill that required everyone to rely on everyone else such that a crafter could actually make name for himself. The economy flourished due to this specialization in my opinion.
Matewis: A dark, gritty and violent commander keen game that looks
kinda like this.
An Star Citizen type game (with no FPS) with a strong
retro scifi theme. Hell, any retro scifi game will do. I just love the theme!
A
Willy Beamish type game in the style of GTA. So something sort of like Bully, only more innocent.
A
proper Cartoon Network card game where you can build Ed, Edd and Eddy decks, or Dexter's Lab decks etc.
And many more unlikely sequels, chief among which : Warcraft 4, Age of Empires 4 and Commandos 4.
Ah yes, I remember losing some much time on Age of Empires 1 and 2. I would love to see Age of Empires 4 but with a MSN Game Zone Experience of community
nightcraw1er.488: The title of the thread is: Non-existing games you want to be made real
Not: Games which would be nominated for worst game ever based on worst films of all time
dtgreene: I saw the new Ghostbusters and it definitely was not one of the worst films of all time. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, and I don't remember it having pacing issues that some other films had (Rogue One lacks action in the entire middle section of the film, and Moonlight was just too slow paced (Hidden Figures had better pacing)),
One more idea:
A game based off Hidden Figures that manages to be both fun and educational. No, I don't have any idea how that would work. (A game based off Moonlight might work as a pure adventure game (or, perhaps, as a visual novel), though even that would be tricky.)
Of course, while we're at it, how about games based off Winged Migration and March of the Penguins?
I second the greatness of Ghost Busters the movie. Just saying, make it full VR and get some PTSD going.
Speaking of educational, I would love to see more educational games developed for the adult that are actually "entertaining". Don't get me wrong, I love Number Munchers more than the next guy, but I also would love to see something like Code Spells but for higher mathematics. One of my favorite books was Mathematics for the Millions. I would love to see a game based on the book's concept that took one from beginning of foundations in math up to calculus. Perhaps some good abstract algebra learning too.
Another idea is maybe some kind of chemical synthesises where gamification can lead to new materials. Kind like in crowd science projects like folding @ home or that game where you click and help sort for science.
