It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

mrkgnao: GOG has clearly stated that they are no longer supporting the downloader. They seem to believe that galaxy is a worthy replacement. I can't really comment, as I have not really used either.
I get that they don't support the old downloader but they could at least add a few numbers on that page to help figure out what version the installer is....

As someone who develops software for a living, I can guarantee you that adding these few numbers most definitely constitutes support.

I'm sorry, but that's just... bullshit. if adding some numbers is support, then adding the link in the account page and making the downloads even available there is support. I get that they're not going to troubleshoot problems and spend any time upgrading it, but to suggest adding some numbers at the end of name on a page is "support" but adding links on the account page and having the downloads available there is "not support" just doesn't pass the smell test.

Nothing happens by magic. Someone has to write the software for the numbers to appear (and update later on).

Adding the downloader links is indeed also support, but they did that as the last act before discontinuing the downloader support.

It would have been nice if they had added the version numbers as well back then, but they didn't and adding them now requires someone to write the necessary software. I hope they will, for your sake, but I wouldn't count on it.

OldFatGuy: ...it's that to assume something makes an ass of me... or something like that. (lol... can't remember exactly how that went now... damned memory)
The way I've heard it is when you assume (something), you make an ass out of "u" and "me"! :-)

I believe the gog downloader links will stay in this state (i mean how it's presented) -> it's not really pretty ... :(

i asked some months ago they rework those , and the answer was : when we have time : meaning never

I believe they try to kill the downloader by any means they can.... but they will never say that directly. (but that's obvious)

A good move would be to provide the checkums for all games : http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/my_account_provide_checksums_eg_md5_sha1_etc_for_downloadable_files

Then get rid of the downloader, and indicates which downloader manager works there (i know 2 for sure but that won't hurt). Not everybody could manage to download the files properly only with the browser.
