Update: Classic versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are now available. If you already own Bioshock Remastered or Bioshock 2 Remastered, you can download classic versions directly from your GOG library.

BioShock™ and BioShock 2™ Remastered are finally available DRM-free.

The legendary shooters emerge from somewhere beyond the sea, dripping with that deliciously claustrophobic atmosphere of decay, corruption, and human ambition gone wrong.
Widely considered as the gold standard for story-driven shooters with light RPG elements, they have been remastered to feature higher resolution textures and models, director's commentary, and several other additions that ensure time will never wash them away.
Pump yourself full of plasmids, pump your enemies full of bullets, and dive right back into Rapture's beautifully rotten halls.

mobutu: Yes, all Remastered versions on any e-store have Minerva Den

Sarang: Tell me when you and others have installed it that it shows up because under extra's on the page it only lists "Protector's Trials".
I have both Protector Trials and Minerva's Den under Extras/Downloadable Content (in game).

Thanks, will end up buying then. Do we know if this $5 sale on both will last until the end of the Winter sale?
I need to ask, when does the sale on BS1:R and BS2:R end? I know the Winter sale ends on January 3, but does the 75% off sale for the Bioshock games last that long or does it end sooner?

AB2012: Can you double check that Bioshock 2 definitely includes Minerva's Den, as there's no mention of it anywhere on the GOG page ("Protector Trials DLC" are completely different thing) and the Steam version has it as a separate product. Also, how long do you expect the originals to be added? Thanks.

JudasIscariot: Both DLCs are in there as our QA team has checked the game quite throughly.

I don't have any ETA on the originals atm but we're working with 2K to get those out as soon as possible.
I know the Remaster of Bioshock 2 removed the multiplayer entirely, but what about the original Bioshock 2? The multiplayer was quite some fun on Steam. Any chance we'll see Galaxy multiplayer added/restored to the original Bioshock 2?

These arrived here quite a bit later than I expected.

Do they work well in Wine+dxvk?

I do not know as I do not even own them. Knowing they were coming here one day, I did not get them elsewhere.

Yup, it's in there. See proof down below. ;) It is indeed weird that it's not mentioned on the game page at all.

It would not be hard to add: "Includes both DLCs." in the description.
I heard the "remasters" had frame issues. anyone confirm?

None that I was able to experience. *shrug* Then again, I do have a pretty capable (2-year old) PC that's high-end enough to still run most everything new on max at 1080P with buttery-smooth results (GTX 1070).... so your mileage may vary.

SirPrimalform: Haha, my refusal to buy them on Steam finally pays off.

darthspudius: Wouldn't boast until we know both versions actually work properly. The original copies were never patched to fix a very noticeable issue and the remasters were always a bit iffy. If they are fixed though, that's when we should be happy.
Could you please explain? I finished both originals and never have had any issues (except from missing sound - easy fix - and gettimng part 2 to run because of Gfwl).
Thank you GOG.
Would it be too greedy of me to ask these on GOG Connect?

Not really. Considering I've bought these three times so far, it's not too much to ask not to have to buy them a fourth time.
