No Gods or Kings or DRM.

Update: Classic versions of Bioshock and Bioshock 2 are now available. If you already own Bioshock Remastered or Bioshock 2 Remastered, you can download classic versions directly from your GOG library.

BioShock™ and BioShock 2™ Remastered are finally available DRM-free.

The legendary shooters emerge from somewhere beyond the sea, dripping with that deliciously claustrophobic atmosphere of decay, corruption, and human ambition gone wrong.
Widely considered as the gold standard for story-driven shooters with light RPG elements, they have been remastered to feature higher resolution textures and models, director's commentary, and several other additions that ensure time will never wash them away.
Pump yourself full of plasmids, pump your enemies full of bullets, and dive right back into Rapture's beautifully rotten halls.

tinyE: i've heard mixed reviews on Infinite.

Then again, when AOE 1 came out I heard mixed reviews on that and it's one of my favorite all time.
I thought Infinite was a bit boring. maybe it is just the start, but I only got a couple of hours in and it was a slog and not very fun, too much bullet sponges and uninterested layouts / scenery and boring mobs. after the first 15 min of "hoo - pretty" I did not find much good about it at all. Bioshock 1 and 2, on the other hand, I have completed more than once.

YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT!!!

THANK YOU, 2K.... THANK YOU GOG!!

It is understandable that the original versions take some time, because the need to be patched for modern OS's... And Original Bioshock 2 has some crash bugs that, indeed, must be fixed before arriving here....

Unlike Valve, GOG do take care if the released game works.
Big Daddy arrived... finally! :)

Instabought, both of them. Now let's see when we can expect "BioShock Infinite" and "XCOM 2" to arrive here.

I doubt they will NOT be listed here, too. :)
just bought them, with the sale it was hard to resist.
How long does the 75% off sale last?

Not sure if I overlooked an obvious indicator but the original post doesn't say.

Bioshock(s) seem like a no-brained to get on discount but trying to pace myself some with season offerings and if live until January then that's after a lot of other Xmas stuff.
I have a physical copy of BioShock I bought on sale once. Tried playing it but didn't get very far before losing all interest. Not for me. However, this is a very welcome addition to GOG! A lot of people seem to love these games.

Zoidberg: Would you kindly... add those to GOG Connect? :P

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

viranimus: Being last generation, and not something currently supported by 2k I fail to see why Infinite was not included unless they are doing a remaster of it now that will be released before long.
Maybe they wanted to monetize DLCs and GOG said no for such a old game. Infinite's DLCs are still being sold separately on Steam. That's the only explaination I can imagine.
In any case, I hope it's coming soon as well.

Oh wow! Fantastic surprise guys!
But now I need to empty my shopping cart and keep it in that way, if you decide to release more surprises!
Cool & the classics coming too. Going to need a bigger hard drive.

Thanks GOG & 2k.
Awesome Release!!! INSTABUY!!! I'd always wanted to play this so bad because I heard so many good things about it. I never purchased it due to my past experiences with DRM. Now I can finally enjoy what I missed out after 11 years.

Thanks GoG and Thanks 2k Games!!!

Now my life would be complete if I can get Hitman: Blood Money and Tomb Raider: Underworld DRM free. I own both on DVD but I would buy them again if they were DRM free.
Glory to 2K and GOG!
Note: The classic versions of both games will be added as a free bonus at a later date.
DOUBLE glory!
