I don't get it.

Burger King can make half-way decent fries.

How come McDonalds is unable to produce anything but the most vile, vomit-inducing, moist, wiggly, limp fries you ever had to abuse your taste buds with? And it's the same anywhere in the world. No matter if it's the US, Europe or China: Anywhere I go, McDonals fries are disgusting stuff that remind me of nasal mucus.

Any goggers out there who work at McDonalds part-time and wish to disclose whether the production of such nauseating fries is company policy?

Exactly what I was going to say McDogPoo is second only n rubbish food to KFatChav. BK is about the only one worth trying, and only for the burgers.

I don't know what's the problem over there, but here they make great fries.

I presume it may change per country as well, e.g. they use local potatoes etc. i haven't really felt that here compared to other burger joints here. They are all equally good or bad.

The worst fries are on some cheap highway restaurants that just take those same frozen fries you can buy in grocery stores, and put them into oven (not even frying them in oil).

The best fries I've personally eaten were in the Casino restaurant here in Helsinki, with their special hamburger meal. Then again it cost a lot more than a hamburger meal in a cheap hamburger joint.

If their fries are so awful everywhere you go... why do you still eat them? :/

My mum makes the best chips :-) She is crazy about them so makes them often. The fast food joints seldom have chips worth eating but sometimes one just has to stuff something in there to make it to the next proper meal.

I concur with the "McDonalds is crap" statement.
I go to Hungry Jacks instead (Australian arm of Burger King), its far better than McDonalds IMO (something to do with the way Hungry Jacks flame grills their beef).
The last time I went to McDonalds was when I was visiting family over xmas and we were about to start the road trip back from Broken Hill (small town in Australia) to Brisbane (big city). I needed breakfast and the only place that was open, affordable, fast and walking distance was McDonalds (Broken Hill does have other places but none that were walking distance from where I was at the time).
Even then I didn't have anything with beef on it and opted for some breakfast thing with bacon and egg on it which was edible enough but not something I would eat again if I had any other choice)

I guess my taste buds really have not evolved at all since I was twelve :D I really don't get all the hate for fast food - I'm not saying it's a good idea to eat it all the time, but I like it.
