Famous actor Sean Connery died today, aged 90.

May he rest in peace.

2020 really lives up to its expectations. :(

RIP Sean. He had an amazing career. (And I definitely preferred some of the earlier Bond's to the later ones).
He was in so many great movies, so much better than Bond - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Highlander, Name of the Rose, A Bridge too Far, Hunt for the Red October, Untouchables... and even in the bad ones he was still fun to watch (Highlander 2). Sad news indeed.

AB2012: He had an amazing career.
Ain't that true?
He had so many great movies under his belt (besides the Bond movies).

It is sad. James Bond, Henry Jones, William Baskerville, Draco and Ramirez passed today.
Their true name was Connery, Sean Connery.

RIP Sean. You are a fantastic actor, and retired and taken too early from us.

RoboPond: taken too early from us.
He was 90, and apparently he had a fairly nice death (died peacefully in his sleep).
I will admit though that my first reaction also was that it's sad news, he was an iconic actor, harsh reminder of the transience of all things, all the more so when one considers he came to fame as an icon of youthful virility. Sic transit gloria mundi.

On the fucking Bahamas to boot. :P

What a legend! Since no one's brought it up: Go watch Outland! It's awesome!
R.I.P. Mr Connery.
Absolutely rocked that red mankini as well.
See you on the other side.
One of the absolute movie legends left us today. :(

RIP Sir Connery.
RIP fellow countryman.
90 is a long time. He lived long, he had a good time of things, his memory lives on.

007, Hunt for Red October, The Rock, Entrapment, In the Name of the Rose, and many other great movies. You will be missed. Let's hope they serve awesome Vodka Martinis in heaven.

... and let's not forget Zardoz. Probably not one of his best, to put it lightly, but I still thought he did justice to his role.

Man, time sure has a way of creeping up on you... seems it was not long ago I was a kid, watching him teach Christopher Lambert how to sword-fight in fast forward, somewhere atop jagged mountains. It may sound cheesy today, but back in the day I was awestruck.

Here's to hoping he gets cast in equally exciting roles in the great beyond. He's certainly had his fill in life, influenced and inspired people across generations and cultures. Needless to say, he will be missed.
